About the Artist

Born in 1981, My Tam is the most influential star in V-Pop with an official fanbase of 100.000. Releasing 12 groundbreaking albums and singles, including one best-selling album of 2007, and winning over 40 awards throughout her career, My Tam has gained numerous international recognitions, such as receiving the Bronze Medal in Asia New Singer Competition 2000 in Shanghai, and Maple Leaf Award 2005 by the Chief Embassy of Canada. In August 2010, ABC News ranked My Tam 6th in its list of “Global Pop Sensations You’ve Never Heard Of”. In 2012 My Tam had the honour of receiving Best Asian Artist in the Mnet Asian Music Awards.

My Tam also achieved many firsts for a Vietnamese artist namely first to participate in the Asia Song Festival in Korea in 2004, first to be featured in French magazine Match du Monde in 2006, the first Global Provider of Youtube in the Vietnam market and the first winner of VMVC, an MTV Vietnam music awards, in 2011.

In 2012, My Tam was chosen MTV EXIT representative in Vietnam, performed a duet with Simple Plan in the MTV EXIT Live in Hanoi concert, and hosted the documentary “Enslaved: An MTV EXIT Special”. My Tam also judged in Vietnam Idol season 4.

Famous Korean producer Cho Sung Jin once admitted My Tam is “the most perfect artist in his music career”. Her single “Letter to My Love” was the best seller on Vietnam’s iTunes Chart in April 2013.
